Daredevil season 3 cosplay - 75% complete!

Just like my season 1 cosplay, I've slowly been collecting parts for Daredevil's season 3 outfit since last year! With my other two suits almost complete, I thought now would be a really good time to showcase where I'm at so far.

I bought the first couple of pieces towards the end of September 2019, then took a break while I focused on my Raggedy Doctor and Daredevil season 1 cosplays. Around mid-March, however, I decided it was about time I finished this suit and I went full steam ahead on tracking down the remaining items.

And without further ago, let's start breaking down what I have so far!

First on my list, the black sweater. I'm not entirely sure what I can say about this piece, except that it's a generic brand and along with the trousers, was the first item I bought for this cosplay.

The trousers are a pair of charcoal-coloured chinos. I bought these before I watched Daredevil season 3, and there aren't many clear shots of this costume online so for a few months I wasn't entirely sure whether they were accurate or not.🤣 After finally watching the series however, and seeing the costume in action (in glorious HD!) I decided that they definitely have the right feel - certainly in terms of colour and fit.

Just like on my red suit, I'll be wearing the same boots from my Daredevil season 1 cosplay - a pair of unbranded tactical boots.

I actually bought the boxing wraps a couple of months before starting this cosplay, in fact I didn't even have cosplay in mind when I bought them (I use them to wrap my wrists and support the joints when weightlifting) so the fact that they work for Daredevil is just a happy coincidence. 🤷‍♂️

Next up, we have the belt that Daredevil wears in the season finale. This is a generic-brand belt that I bought from the men's section of my local supermarket and while I'm not sure that it's 100% accurate, it definitely has the right look for Matt's belt, so I'm happy.

And the latest addition to my Daredevil season 3 collection is the red t-shirt that he wears in the last 3 episodes of the series.

Overall, this cosplay is proving to be much easier (not to mention cheaper!) than my season 1 black suit, mainly because the pieces are more generic and I don't need to worry about things like branded arm pads and specific stitching patterns on shirt, etc. 😅

There are only 3 parts left to collect/make for this cosplay: the fingerless gloves which were sometimes worn instead of the boxing wraps; the ropes that Matt binds his hands/arms in towards the end of the series; and the mask, which I'll cover in its own dedicated update.

Stay tuned!
